Evan Pesses is a Los Angeles based Creative Technologist, Producer, and Cinematographer. He shoots feature films, commercials, immersive content (VR/AR/XR/Volumetric), TV, and music videos. Evan’s credits include work for Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis, Elton John VR, Mercedes-Benz, Chevy, NFL, Facebook, Google, Intel, and Kawasaki. He specializes in Advanced Technology Filmmaking including: virtual reality, high-speed, underwater cinematography, VFX, and stereoscopic capture. Evan is the Head of Studio at Wild Capture a digital human technology studio.
Originally from New Orleans, at an early age, Evan was intrigued by motion pictures. Though a son of an engineer, he grew up with the arts. It was his love of movies combined with his father's technical influence inevitably led Evan to cinematography. Evan received a degree in Film Theory from the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying under David Bordwell. Evan first began his discovery of cinematography working as a motion picture film processor in Madison. From lighting to camera, Evan climbed the ranks until he was one of the most sought after immersive cinematographers in the business. He got the producer bug while at The Astronauts Guild, finding himself becoming the Managing Partner/Executive Producer. From there, he had become an Executive Producer/Showrunner for a number of Live Virtual Production Projects for Verizon, Amazon, the NFL, Capitol Records, and Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment.
Evan continues to live on the edge of next generation image-making. He is continually developing technologies and workflows that advance and shape the future of visual storytelling.
Evan is an active member of the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Producer’s Guild of America.
